General
In many cases, you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment. However, some insurance plans require a referral from your primary care provider. We recommend checking with your insurance company before scheduling.
Please bring a valid photo ID, your insurance card, a list of current medications, any prior imaging (X-rays, MRI, CT scans), and completed new patient forms if available. Arriving 15 minutes early helps ensure a smooth check-in.
Medical records can be requested by contacting our office directly by phone. Please allow 5–7 business days for processing. For urgent requests, please call us and we will do our best to expedite.
We do our best to accommodate same-day appointments for acute injuries and urgent concerns. Please call our office first thing in the morning to check availability.

We accept most major insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, and United Healthcare, among others. Please visit our Insurance & Billing page or call our office to confirm your specific plan.

Yes. You are entitled to an itemized statement of your charges upon request. Please contact our billing department if you have questions about your account.
Surgery & Procedures
General preparation includes not eating or drinking after midnight the night before, arranging a ride home, and stopping certain medications as instructed. Your provider will give you a detailed, procedure-specific checklist at your pre-op appointment.
Recovery time varies widely depending on the procedure, your health, and how closely you follow your rehabilitation plan. Minor arthroscopic procedures may allow return to activity within a few weeks, while joint replacement recovery typically spans 3–6 months for full function.
Most orthopaedic procedures benefit from post-operative physical therapy. Your provider will write a referral and outline a therapy plan tailored to your procedure and recovery goals.
After Your Visit
Visit summaries, lab results, and imaging reports are available through your secure patient portal. You will receive login instructions after your first visit.
Follow-up timing depends on your condition and treatment plan. Your provider will schedule any necessary follow-up appointments before you leave the office.
Call our office at 931-815-2663 during business hours. For urgent after-hours concerns, your discharge paperwork will include instructions for reaching on-call coverage. In a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
